The Foundation is a nonstock, nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of Wisconsin.  It is governed by a Board of Directors, comprised of ten individuals, five of whom are students and five of whom are alumni.  The Board also has two ex-officio members: the ASM Chair and an Employee-Director.  These directors are appointed by various entities, including the Board itself, the ASM Student Council and the employees of the Foundation.

At this time, the Foundation is not permitted to solicit donations.  When appropriate documents are filed with the State of Wisconsin, the Foundation will launch its fundraising operations.

Also at this time, the Foundation is currently applying for recognition of tax-exempt status with the IRS.  Once this occurs, the Foundation will be exempt from payment of federal income tax and donations given to the Foundation will be deductible to its contributor.

We are very excited about the growth stage the Foundation is in and hope to complete these operations shortly.
